Dimensions: 2m EW - 10m NS - 0,2.0,45m deep
Discussion: Tposoil of eastern extension of Trench 5. Taken down 20-45cm to be on the same level as the part of the trench west from it. Topsoil contained burial F.3317. This unit number was also used for recording finds from scraping the northeast part of the trench.
Greyish, miyed up soil. Contained several large pot sherds, not many other finds, several large stones, clay lumps and fragments of mud brick.

Condition: under shelter, windy, very warm
Consistency: compact soil all over
Colour: greyish brown with lumps of yellow clay and white limestone inclusions
Texture: sandy silt, clay lumps
Bedding: homogeneous layer containing some lumps of clay, no internal layers
Inclusions: pot sherds, animal and human bones, obsidian, flint, shell, grinding stone, limestone, clay
Post-depositional Features: roots, animal burrows
Basal Boundary: flatish - change in colour in some areas: darker grey and yellow clay concentrations
