Unit 15198
Category: Cluster dug in 2010
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: cluster of sherds and bones
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: NS 0,8m - EW 0,8m - depth 0,05m
Discussion: This cluster consisted primarily of large pot pieces of ceramic and animal bone, surrounded by phytoliths. A single clay ball was found in the cluster. The sherds were mainly alrge and appereared to form several complete or nearly complete vessels. Some had visible red painted designs. This cluster appears to be associated with a room floor (15190) and sits atop room fill (15194). The basal boundary of the cluster is unclear as it seems to continue somewhat into the fill in 15194. A possible interpretation is that the cluster represents a deposit from a cooking or feasting event.
