Discussion: Fill of gap between 2 distinct segments of East wall of space 106. After removal of 1554 the wall was seen to comprise a course of red bricks 1562 to the south and a course of brown and grey bricks at the N end 1559. Between there a part of mortar 0.25 m. wide was visible. This and the small bricks beneath it were taken to be stratigraphically later than 1559, 1562. Whether this blocking fills continued higher into 1554 and 1552 was never clear.
