Discussion: layer of thin bricks in reddish clay- probably we have 4,5 bricks along the wall, each 0.60 with a thin grey mortar deposit between them. They appear to be no more than 50 cm. thick and at the N end are set into the while marl/lime bricks 1560- see E- W sketch section. To W 1562 lips thinly over 1560 in places 1564 does too. Mortar between bricks as 1564 beneath them

Texture: sandy clay loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 5 % sand occasional c 1% fragments of hard reddish brown clay, to 10 mm
