Discussion: A layer of charcoal material sloping down towards the south. Part of a series of dumped deposits which occur on the west edge of what used to be referred to as space 105, and running below the later wall 96/58. this layer must have continued into the space to the west of this wall. IN this space it may have been excavated as part of an arbitrary layer

Condition: Morning after a violent storm. Sunny and some clouds
Consistency: moderately weak
Colour: 2.5Y 4/2
Texture: silty clay
Bedding: Massive
Inclusions: Bone, obsidian, clay ball <2%, charcoal 2% - 5%
Post-depositional Features: Compressed by wall 96/58 above. Cut by 1610 to the north east.
Basal Boundary: Wavy and indistinct in places, clearer in others. Anthropogenic - a dumped layer
