Discussion: A small isolated deposit of rich dark brown silty material rich in charcoal flecks & apparently seeds.
Very possibly represents a single deposition of oven / hearth rake-pout, interleaved with ashy layers representing occupation debris.
Initially [1638] was going to comprise several of these fine ash lenses but this was changed on finding [1651]
Is this the same as [1637]?
Very small archive sample due to small deposit.

Colour: there are thin layers or lenses, upper layer is back hue 5Y 2.5/1
