Unit 17277
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: floor
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: EW 0.95m, NS 1.2m, thickness 2cm
Discussion: Floor 17277 was a thin layer of white marl on top of the clay floor 17294. 17277 only covered a limited area in the eastern central space and did not run up to the walls. It is possible that the floor originally covered the entire space and then was destroyed, or that it was meant to cover only this area. Maybe it was laid to cover worn out floor 17294 underneath; however, 17294 did not seem particularly destroyed there.
