Unit 1756
Category: layer dug in 1997
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: floor,Floor deposit
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Cleaning the area between Wall 113 and bulk of trench. Aim: to look for the floors 116 and 117 which have been uncovered in 1996 and to investigate better the relation of walls 113 and 105.After digging the area for approx. 10-15 cms through mixed deposit of loose pieces of mudbricks we reach a relatively flat area of uniform clay. We characterise this surface as Floor 124.This is the same floor as floor 116 of 1996.Features:on the SE corner a yellow mudbrick, possibly continuing the structure revealed in 1996 ( F 106 ).Traces of plaster visible on surface of F124 ,occasionally with red colour. An earlier phase of Wall 113 is clearly visible sticking out of wall 113 for approx.. 10cm.
