Discussion: This is a constructional infill that filled the space bertween two courses of bricks making up the N-S wall in central part of the trench. The bricks were recorded as separate units (western- 12274, and eastern- 17680). Originally, they may possibly have been elements of the same wall. These two courses were cut off and then the constructional layer was placed between them. This may have been associated with the rebuilding phase of the older wall (17683). The layer was composed of a large number of destroyed constructional elements such as bricks and mortar. It was clearly distinguishable.
