Unit 1883
Category: layer dug in 1997
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: infilling
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: homogeneous
Dimensions: 0.05 to 0.20 m thick
Discussion: General layer covering all of space 113 apart from the platform, with the exception of some material in the SW and the NE corners. This is the uppermost deposit left by Mellaart. As a result it is in very poor condition and it is almost impossible to see anything. The layer has built up against the side of the platform and so must post-date it. It would appear to be a quite sterile general infilling
Execution: trowel
Condition: warm & bright
Consistency: firm
Colour: 10YR 5/6 yellowish brown
Texture: silt
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: occasional small charcoal and plaster flecks
Post-depositional Features: possibly truncated by mellaart, badly weathered
