Unit 20170
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: pit infill
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: 1,1 m. E-W x 1,2 m N-S, depth 0,33 m
Discussion: This infill is the second fill within the cut u20145 in the feature 3919. At this level however, the feature is no longer truncated by the later f. 3918- the cut and fill form a roughly circular pit. Not much material was recovered in this layer (similar to the earlier one). The soil was in places, like that of 20144 - grey and silty, but in other places it was brown and mixed with a bricky material. The layer was deemed done when I got down to a more homogenous brown soil level.
