Discussion: This unit is interpreted as a mud brick blocking which was built in order to block the oven (F7108) and build a new oven (F3621?) in front of it. It was hard to tell where the blocking ended as it looked much like the abutting mud brick wall but it had no mortar, which made it easier to identify. The blocking had a protruding part which initially was interpreted as part of the later oven but the material/texture makes this less probable. Slightly more than half of the oven has been excavated. A great part of unit 20424 fell down during excavation so the whole unit was excavated.
