Discussion: This layer was thicker than the other burnt layers below. I think it could be connected with U.20632. More about this possible connection in the Unit Sheet of the wall.
For me it's possible that this layer was more important than others because of the thickness. Maybe they wanted to finish using this oven or they tried to make the surface of the oven regular, becausethe layers below are very irregular. 

 

Consistency: In N part the layer was much more friable than in S 

Colour: It was orange in N part in S was more grey than orange 

Texture: silty in S part loam in N part 

Bedding: massive

Basal Boundary: wavy because of burnt fragments of clay below
