Unit 20902
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Plaster in N part of Feature
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: oven; Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: This plaster was connected only with the layers of makeup (U.20617) and 1st course of burnt layer (U.19598). In the trench section it's also visible but only on the higher of these two Units. There were no plaster in S part of Feature. I suppose that it was an occasional event. Maybe they wanted to finish using this oven and make there something else and they changed their minds and continued the oven. Or it could be that they wanted to repair the walls of oven. However, the wall looks solid in this part of the oven.
