Discussion: this unite represente the erlier plaster base in the earlier hearth (F 7426 and F7402). It consisted of well burnt, fine ashy material, mixed with remnants of a fine layer of plaster base. It is conomporaray with the southern edge surround U21218. the reste of this floor base is located in the southern part of hearth. It is limited by U21218 and U19191 in th W. 

Consistency: firm/friable 

Colour: mid grey, yaellow/ orange, red 

Texture: slightly silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occasional occasional charcoal flecks & patches of fine ash 

Post-depositional Features: Eroded at the nourthern and centre of the hearth 

Basal Boundary: constructional, very sharp
