Unit 21950
Category: Layer dug in 2015

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: building; Material: pise-like; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This layer has the same composition of dirty floors, usually excavated next to the hearth: so, apparently, the layer would seem easily interpreted as a normal dirty floor, but the particular shape would suggest another function. The southern boundary of the unit is not visible because is under the limit of excavation, but in the known part, the layer is characterized by an angular shape: due to this particular form, it is possible to suppose that the layer, originally a normal dirty floor, was remodelled to create an angle of the raised area (working platform?), located on the west side of the hearth.
