Unit 22050
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: construction/packing
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: floor (packing only)
Discussion: Constructional layer abutting a clay packing layer associated with heart F.7308. Peels off to a burnt surface with multiple repair events, indicative of a hearth. This unit is chunky and friable, its grey colour suggest intense ash content. But it also may be the colour of the sediment. The deposition is certainly unique in colour and texture, and is not seen anywhere else.
