Discussion: Defined as a separate unit from section in damaged superstructure. It has been put on the inside of the oven superstructure as plaster, plausably in several layers over the lifespan of oven F4060.

Excavated with leaf trowel. 

Consistency: Friable 

Colour: Redish yellow brown, 

Texture: Silty clay, tempered with grass. 

Bedding: Layered. 

Inclusions: Plant remains, grass. Temper. 

Post-depositional Features: Animal burrows. 

Basal Boundary: Constructional, very sharp, distinct, smooth, steep.
