Description: Infill layer of F.7765

Discussion: This is a infill layer (u. 22271) in an ambiguous hole in space 92 of building 52. The hole is behind a access hole entrance dividing spaces 94 and 92. It is also next to a previous oven unit that existed on the newer layers of plaster floor in space 92. When excavating curved plaster pieces that appeared to be painted were found which could suggest that a possible wooden post might have been painted at one time before being plastered over, if this was a posthole.

Suggested by Carla Lancelotti (Archaeobotanist) to be a feature connected with heat.

Excavated with trowel.
