Discussion: Unit 22400 is a makeup layer sitting atop the oven base in the Southeast corner of the building. The makeup layer is fairly friable, with medium sized inclusions of charcoal, small flecks of animal bone, and the occasional inclusion of plaster. The oven base below the makeup layer is heavily eroded, making the boundary between the two units irregular and difficult to follow, as well as very uneven. In most areas the oven base seems to have eroded away completely, though it has been maintained a bit on the edges, especially on the southern side.
