Discussion: Unit is a very patchy, highly eroded mixy make-up/oacking layer underneath clay surface U. 22421 in the area that used to house the sunken floor of the dirty area of the room. This unit is special in that it is especially rich in finds, constrasting to the very sterile units that have mostly comprised B. 80 thus far. There is a lot of ash and charcoal inclusions, suggesting that the layer might be degraded clay and other buidling materials mixed with cleaning from the hearth, in order to prepare the sunken floor area for the clay surface. It laps up onto the oven floors of F. 7412 to the south, as well as the bench to the N, and the hearth superstructure to the W. To the e it laps up onto the remnants of platform F 7401.
