Description: thin layer of homogenous material 

Discussion: This layer was a different color from the layer above and below it; therefore, we proposed it was a separate layer. It was quite thin and compact. There was not enough of the layer to collect two samples for flotation; however, all the excess material (not for archive or phytolith) was collected for flotation. 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: light to mid-gray 

Texture: clayish silt/sand 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: none 

Basal Boundary: layer underneath was different in color
