Unit 23738
Category: Layer dug in 2017
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: levelling layer for the floor
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: floor (packing only); Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: It was probably some kind of levelling layer for the floor 20729 of B. 150 excavated in 2016. It was located in central part of Trench 4. It was exposed in 2016 and left unexcavated until this season. Hence, the surface was trampled and difficult to excavate. It differed in terms in consistency: its N part was more silty while its S part consisted of more clayish, wet deposits. The layer was very clean in terms of archaeological material: almost nothing was found. Right beenath, another layer of whitish floor of B.150 was recorded (23739).
