Discussion: this deposit consist of compound layers of 5mm thick plaster 10YR 8/3 grey pale brown; this 3mm thick lens of ashy material 10 YR 4/2dark greyish brown; muddish layer ca 8mm thick 10 YR 6/3 pale brown; 8mm thick muddish layer 10 YR 4/2 dark greyish brown. these are accumulative deposits that appear to repeat but it is unclear as to whether they represent accumulation through use or whether the rim of the oven was constructed by the use of different material. This would be the equivalent to the construction of the oven wall 2398, however tough the sequence fits the construction material is very different. too much has been eroded to say anything more concrete
