Excavated in 2014:
These were the top layers at the floor of this oven. It was compact and came off easily in big chuncks as a loose layer of ashy silt (1mm thick) was at the bottom-on top of the earlier floor (U.22015). The floor had many plant imprints and phytolith remains. Sample taken. 

Consistency: firm-compact 

Colour: light brown, dark brown 

Texture: silty, ashy clay 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: ash, phytolithes
