Unit 30263
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: infill of the oven
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: oven; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This is a bottom part of the infill of the oven (F.3955) under the rubble which comes probably from the doomed superstructure (U.30262). It was soft and contained a lot of charcoal (a sample was taken for radiocarbon dating). This infill was placed directly at the oven base. At the bottom another rubble that comes from the oven was revealed (U.30270).
As the exploration of this infill proceded it turned out that it is larger than previously defined. Hence it was necessary to enlarge the unit towards south.
Due to incomplete exposure of the oven and its truncaton for the south it proved difficult to define. Its entrance and adjacent make out oven.
