Discussion: This unit represents the mud-brick construction of f.7151. It was recognized under a layer of plaster (u.30276) covering this bin. The unit is very compact, and shows very slight evidence of scorching by the fire that destroyed this building. It was built as one of three bins in the building, the second in the sequence. It was excavated by pick and shovel to the floor of the building. 

 

Consistency: compact 

Colour: grey- light and dark 

Texture: mud-brick 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: plaster specks 

Post-depositional Features: significant animal burrows, some root growth 

Basal Boundary: clear-- meets floor f.7153
