Unit 30456
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: pit infill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit
Description: Depth varies between 0.32 and 0.48 m.
Discussion: Started digging infill for a circular cut. It is probably a Hellenistic pit because it contained Greek pottery and looks very similar to the round Hellenistic pits that have been excavated in the TPC area in the past. There was some animal disturbance in this unit and the skeleton of a rodent who could have made these burrows was found. The fill was very easy to remove and distinct from the cut. A very nice obsidian point was found, but because it was outisde of its Neolithic context we did not record it as an X find.
