Discussion: Within this layer were many pieces of brick and mortar of at least two different kinds. One brick with a thin layer of mortar and a layer of plaster (3062) and (3063) was lying almost on top and at first they were interpreted as part of a wall in situ, but they were in fact in the fill, maybe a part of a collapsed wall.

The layer was very patchy and heterogeneous with bits and parts of bricks, burnt plaster and soil of different texture and colour.

Some animal holes at the south end of the fill made it difficult to determine the relationship to the wall to the south.
