2015 season. Additional information on removal of bin wall. Wednesday 9th. and Thursday 10th. July 2015.
A decision was made to excavate the fill from the bin, F7197. Prior to the archaeobotany specialists attending site to commence excavation, the bin walls were to be removed as the majority of the wall material had fallen away. The larger pieces were removed and examined prior to being broken into smaller pieces for sampling and dry sieving. All required samples were taken.
Archive, 0.5ltr, float, 30ltr, phytolith, 0.2ltr, dry sieving 20ltr, giving a total of 50.70lts.
The adjacent bin, U30876, was not excavated.
