Discussion: F.99 was removed revealing that it had been possibly keyed to the abutting wall. This unit (3125) is the removal of that floor level onto the floor below. The joining of these two floors produced a large amount of phytoliths, possibly straw used to join together two surfaces, as used in some areas of the world today. The unit also revealed several small and crossing cuts, also seeming to aid the joining together of levels/surfaces, though this later appeared to be mostly variations in the fill. Removal of the layer revealed a floor packing surface.
This patch was cut on all sides except where it abuts wall to S believed to have been 'scoured' at the end of the life-use of building 4.
