Discussion: Ash layer. Remnants of fire debris from use of oven with floor (3607). 

Recognition: Light grey ash, loose beneath floor of oven (3383). 

Definition: Runs along E inside rim of oven floor (3607) and sloping down towards centre of oven. 

Execution: Leaf 100% (of 1/2 section archived) as so little of this deposit. 

Condition: Dry. 

Consistency: loose 

Colour: 2.5 YR 7/1 light grey 

Texture: ash 100% 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 10% small charcoal flecks up to 3 mm 

Post-depositional Features: possibly truncated (swept out?) before floor (3383) built 

Basal Boundary: smooth/curved from E to W/anthropogenic
