Discussion: Brown silt layer part of make up for oven F.290 within cut (3932).
At first thought to reach baulk but later realised it did not and was overexcavated.
Recognition: Seen beneath plaster skim (3918) as a brown silt layer. Very similar with layer above this (3914) but had much less inclusions (no plaster or oven lining) also very similar in layer beneath (3931) (same description as 3914) and had difficulty distinguishing its boundary.
Definition: Within cut (3932).
Execution: Leaf.
Condition: Hot.
Consistency: fairly compact
Colour: 10 YR 3/3 dark brown
Texture: silt
Bedding: massive
