Interpretive Categories: moulding element

Data Category Information: In Situ: non in-situ; Location: feature; Description: moulding; Material: pise-like; Deposition: heterogeneous

Dimensions: 9 x 3 x 9D

Discussion: This may be bricky material which fell in as a loose deposit and filled the gaps, or it could be the lower/western part of (3150) and possibly an integral part of F.279.
It seems likely it's part of F.279 (10/9 NSH).

Recognition: Colour orange-brown stuff by W wall, 2 lenses of speckled grey/white material; edge to S after removal of (3651).

Definition: Problematic, may be 2 different things, (3935) may only go a little way from S to N, the rest may be different, as it joins a lower deposit (identical) to N of (3944). (3935) is over (3944), physically and needs to be removed.

Execution: Fast, leaf.

Condition: Sheltered.

Consistency: friable

Colour: orange-brown 10 YR 6/4 light yellowish brown

Texture: silty clay

Bedding: layered, 2 lenses in it!

Inclusions: small charcoal frequent in 2 lenses

Post-depositional Features: no

Basal Boundary: uncertain so far 6/9; abutts wall plaster of wall 66 and goes down deeply by wall with E boundary against grey bricky deposit ( ) which forms the (currently) westernmost boundary of F.279; to the E a thin spread has seeped in on N edge of F.279 between (3300) and ??
