In the end took off as (3971) a thin (no more than 2-3 mm) peninsula of plaster that extended to the S over (3968) and lapped up to edge of clean plaster face to W. Plaster (3971) slightly dirtier yelllowish in appearance to the white plaster on face but appeared to be continous in places with the face so assume contemporary.
