Discussion: Lying over oven base (4313) this layer appears to represent the demolition/abandonmentr of F.I.438. It also formed the base for F.I.435 which probably immediately succeeded F.I.438. The clay balls X.1 and X.2 appear to be in-situ and could well be related to the final use of F.I. 438.
