Unit description: NOT ANALYZED - a preliminary sort for feed back only. Unusual finds recorded. Infill from NW corner of Building 17 (filled with burials from Building 6). The colour is light to medium brown with only a very small amount of the darker staining. The assemblage is dominated by large fragments of ribs and vertebra of the 07 size. - probably Bos. Many of these were complete or over 3/4 of length in the ground. In one instance (sample 9), 6 articulated thoracic vertebrae with some ribs were found together. There are also several mandibles, an almost complete equid innominate and one enormous Bos scapula. The medium size taxa is mainly represented by teeth and foot bones and by highly fragmented long bones. There are also a few 02 size long bones. The weathering is generally none to light and there is a very small percentage of burning. In the middle of the building, just above the floor was a goat frontlet (F10) with two crushed, but complete horn cores. Worked bone fragment; pendant, weaving tool?
