Unit description: This is a fairly small sample, consisting of flotation sample #2, >4 mm, 100% sorted and completely recorded. it is mostly sheep-size but there is a fair amount of large mammal. Almost 50% burnt, mostly at low temperature. Fairly high fragmentation. Much of the bone looks fairly fresh, with mostly slight weathering. The diagnostic bone consists of three foot bones, all sheep/goat: an astragalus and two digested metapodials. There is very little indication of carnivore gnawing in this unit: only one fragment is gnawed. Most of the unit looks like sweepings of post-consumption discard, with a few of the larger bits perhaps coming from elsewhere.
