Discussion: Remains of a burial basket preserved as a phytolith impression in F537. Only a very small area survives in the south-east part of the burial, the remainder presumably either having been lost or not preserved in this way in the first place. 

Recognition: Patch of white phytolith basket impression 

Definition: Clearly defined against cut of burial 

Execution: Trowel from edges 

Condition: Dry, friable and very incomplete 

Consistency: Very friable 

Colour: Dirty white 

Texture: Fibrous mineral clay
