Discussion: [5203] was a:
Heavily truncated oven base/superstructure which lay directly beneath oven F.555. The material making up the oven superstructure was identical to that of the base, but the base was scorched on its upper surface. It seems to be the remains of an earlier, smaller oven within this N. area of building 17, which was destroyed, but not removed, for the construction of the later oven.

Texture: clay with patches of silty clay

Inclusions: charcoal 2%, oven debris 5%, ash 1%, pebble
