Discussion: Distinctive 'lime burning' deposit in north-west part of space 181. Quite localised and well defined. Probably related to units (5282) and (5283). 

 

Recognition: distinctive colour / texture 

Definition: edges of unit 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: moist 

Consistency: soft 

Colour: very mixed, pale grey/off white and olive grren dominate, over black scorching 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: frequent large charcoal flecks, small burnt frags 

Post-depositional Features: none apparent 

Basal Boundary: smooth, flat, distinct, anthropogenic
