Interpretive Categories: niche fill 

Dimensions: 37 x 35 cm 

Discussion: Niche -> 26-41 cm deep, 23-29 cm wide, 38 cm high. Mostly the same as 3533, the inner face has been covered with a thin layer of plaster on the wall faces and the ceiling, the base was only covered with the orange clay. There is no clear distinction between the base level of the niche and the floor outside (6129). The base slopes out into the floor, same kind of orange clay-like material. Te northern edge of the wall face has a cover of thick white plaster, NE most part. 

Recognition: wall faces of niche ->orange clay in litle plaster 

Definition: clear diff. between ashy fill and walls of niche 

Execution: excavated with leaf trowel 

Condition: a little dry 

Consistency: loose ashy deposit 

Colour: 10 YR 4/2, dark greyish brown 

Texture: silty clay loam 

Bedding: no internal layers 

Inclusions: seeds, woods - about 30% 

Post-depositional Features: natural salts/roots/insects 

Basal Boundary: clear wavy anthropic boundary
