Unit description: No material from the dry sieve. Sample 2 >4mm flotation 100% sorted. This is a small-medium sample, rather fragmented (pieces up to 3 cm). Nearly all sheep-size, a little large mammal. No diagnostics. A little burning, little or no digestion. Surface condition is variable but generally good, with some quite fresh. Looks like sweepings with the big pieces taken outside. Sample 4 >4mm flotation 100% sorted. This is a moderate size sample with moderate fragmentation (pieces ranging up to 5 cm. Nearly all sheep-size with a little large mammal and a wee bit of hare-size. Diagnostics are mainly sheep/goat and a little cattle, plus a fox/hare phalanx. Rough DZ count: O/C - .5, fox/hare - .5 There is also a bit of bird and of amphibian microfauna. Nothing measurable. More or less even body part distribution. Ca. 10-15% burnt, fair amount of digestion. Surface condition mostly somewhat worn. No coherence. Looks like fill. Sample 6 >4mm flotation 100% sorted. This is a small sample of small pieces, nothing much over 1 cm. All sheep-size, all scrap. Some burning, little or no digestion. Surface condition variable. Looks like construction material.
