Flexed burial of an adult, possibly male. The skeleton appears to be complete, although several of the bones are quite fragmentary (especially the cranium, mandible and ribs). The left thigh bone, righ and left pubis, left femur, and left humerus were treated by the conservation (Emin) with 5% Pavaloid (in acetone and alcohol), 8% primal AC33 (in d.H2O).
There was a wooden plank (either burnt or carbonized) over the distal lower region (ie feet). The association of this wood to the burial is not entirely clear since the wood was separated from the actual bones by at least a few cm.

Body: adult burial, crouched (flexed) ; lying on right side, facing North-east
Head: on right side, bent at neck with chin against chest
Right Arm: flexed at elbow, under left left arm, hand near head (to east)
Left Arm: flexed at elbow, lower arm parallel to right hand near head ( to east0
Right Leg: flexed at knee, knee at east side of cut, sole of foot facing up
Left Leg: flexed at knee, along east side of cut
Other comments: Burial slopes to the south with the head and hands at the lowest points. This may be the result of the soil sinking post-depositionally in the south but not the north or it may have actually been xxxxxx that way. The head is oriented to the south.
