2 nd floor level in the Notrth of sp. 158
Removal of floor. Same floor but different clay.
The question asked was wheather the two differnet plasters used for the floor in this space were contemporary or not. We came to conclude that they were. It could be a possibility that the northernmost plaster (s.6.7.8), which is not as smooth as the southernmost, was supporting some material which would have been placed there and not moved around. If need was to remake the plaster of the south part (because of too much use for example), it could have been done without moving what was in the northernmost part. It should be noted as well that the northermost clay is the same as the northernmost clay of space 86 i.e.more crumbly and soft.
