Unit 8369
Category: Layer dug in 2001
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: oven floor
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: after removing the fill (8367), left a fine layer 2-5 mm thick above the oven floor and removed it as a floor sample. Also revealed possible third oven floor and extent of oven marked with redish, burned rim. Also truncated the close proximity of that SW corner so the flotation sample will be of mixed deposits.
In addition to that, something fishy's going on in that NW bit of the oven structure, still not sure what that could be. Oven floor has a nice slip to the edges of oven (just nice pottery) stuff are found at the bottom of the hole in the adjent bin.
Floor itself seems scraped in antiquity.
