Description: FT 

 

Discussion: Lower brick feature; eastern part of building 47. Some of the bricks are placed in shallow cuts into the layers below. It is clear that when 10253 was built they placed it directly on top of an earlier wall.

Definition: against red wall (w) clear edges elsewhere 

Execution: trowel, mattock 

Condition: perfect! 

Consistency: hard 

Colour: grey (bricks) brownish red (bonding material) 

Texture: clay 

Bedding: compound parallel oriented bricks
