Unit 10293
Category: layer dug in 2005
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: external filll
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: homogeneous
Dimensions: 5.50m (N) x 2.50m (E)
Description: infill of space West
Discussion: The unit is bounded by the walls and with a black stripe patch at West. It differentiates from U:10287 with its smoothly darker colour and with containing a significant ash level.
Although it is the 'fill', its chronology is not very clear (11.07.2005). It will make sense after the burried walls are exposed.
There might be no relation with the black patch (W); it will be better understood soon. (11.07.2005) It turned to be having no relation with the black patch so that the unit is extended towards the artificial grid line. (13.07.2005)
The south wall seems to have plaster on it, and it might be the reason for the white particles observed in the soil, or the reason is something else.(11.07.2005).
Now it is known that those white particles are salt, after having a short discussion with the specialist. (13.07.2005) Original Total Deposit Volume entered as 0 altered by system check 30/08/09
