Discussion: This unit of bin fill contained two concentrations of what appeared to be charred barley grain, plus are concentration of charred whole almonds (i.e.. the nutshell with inner kernel intact). These concentrations within the unit were taken as samples number 1-3. In addition to it to a normal flotation sample, chaff-tempered fragments of plastered building material were also taken as a sample of botanical interest (sample no. 5).
In pursuing the almond concentration (sample no. 3) some chunks of burned mud brick were removed revealing a broader spread of almonds across the center of the bin. Because the general nature of the bin fill had also changed (more compact, more burned mud brick) an end to this unit was defined.

Recognition: identified on the fill of the bin
