Discussion: Partition wall toward E end of Bldg 54 was floating on fill, so was sampled and removed. Original extent of wall after it turnedeast was initially unclear, but layer of packed mortar at bottom of cut helped to distinguish edges.

Grey plaster/clay building material was visible at bottom of cut, especially near join with north wall, southern corner (* on sketch). 

Recognition: clearly a wall: orange mud brick/grey mortar visible from above and in section 

Definition: clear boundaries; wall different color with fewer inclusions than surrounding 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: hot 

Shape: slightly L-shaped, linear 

Sides: vertical 

Base Break: sharp 

Base: mostly flat, sloping slightly down to west 

Orientation: N/S
